This wiki is dedicated to the history of the Festiniog Railway and associated railways from the 19th Century to the present day. We hope you will find it a useful source of information about the FR and associated railways.

A wiki is a website that allows its users to add and edit its content. The name "wiki" comes from the Hawaiian "wiki wiki", meaning quickly. Every day, people add information to the articles contained in this wiki, improve the articles or add new articles. You can see all of these changes on article histories and in recent changes.

Most pages can be edited by any user. New users are welcome to join in. There are no special skills required and the markup language used to make articles look the way you want them is very easy to learn. Any mistakes are easy to fix or improve later.

Occasionally, inappropriate changes are made to the wiki. These changes are usually removed quickly. Anyone who repeatedly vandalises articles can be blocked from editing.
