Cae Moel is the location of a bridge on the Welsh Highland Railway. The bridge originally had the road on top, the railway beneath and below that in the same opening the Afon Carrog. When the railway was rebuilt, various alterations were suggested, but the contractor thought the easiest thing would be to put in an Armco culvert for the river, leaving the entire height under the road for the railway.
