Dave Payne was a member of the Deviation Team, in particular connection with the blasting of the new Moelwyn tunnel.
When Bunny Lewis left the Deviation, Dave took over Bunny duties.
Interestingly, on leaving the Deviation, he took up a post as shotcreting expert with Sykes Construction Services - a company that had provided the FR with assistance.
