On this date, having had nearly three months of testing, changing, and practice, Spooner invited guests to a jaunt in the "new" vehicles, and celebratory dinner in Porthmadog. William Hollinrake and George England acting as drivers for the occasion. Up to one hundred passengers rode on each train.[1]
