Day Log/1865-01-05
On this date, the company commenced passenger operations. The festivities were marred by the death of John Roberts, an engine cleaner, who jumped off a loco at Boston Lodge, stumbled and fell. Unfortunately he was hit by the tender and following carriage.[1]
