Day Log/1868-05-26
On this date, Capt. Tyler submitted his report on the Festiniog & Blaenau Railway[1]
He found the need for a facing point and a semaphore signal at the Blaenau terminus needed to be removed, with the point being locked "out of use" until completed. The viaduct at Tan y Manod, a wooden construction, needed to be strengthend. These amendments were made before he left the site, and were enshrined in a written undertaking from the FBR chairman James Casson. Although the line opened on 29th May, final approval was not given until 5th June
