On this day, the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railways Company obtained an Act of 35/6 Vic. Cap. 175

With powers to build a 'General Undertaking'; a railway from Croesor & Port Madoc Railway Company (sic) to Bettws-y-coed, and a 'Moel Tryfan Undertaking' connecting Llanwnda with Bedd­gelert village and Bryngwyn (two railways). [1]
