Decauville 1770

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

A standard design of this well-known French builder dating from 1920, this locomotive came for the 1995 Gala from the Chemin de Fer des Chanteraines (CFC) near Paris, following a visit by the FR's Palmerston to the CFC a few months earlier. Paul Decauville derived parts of his designs for light railways from a visit to the FR in the 19th Century.
