Dolbadarn a 'Dinorwic Port type' No 1430, built in 1922. It originally worked at Port Dinorwic, then from 1936 in Dinorwic Quarry until withdrawal in 1967, making it one of the last steam locomotives in quarry use in the country.
In 1969 Dolbadarn was sold to the Llanberis Lake Railway, becoming No 3, and after running for a while in bright yellow was re-painted in pale green livery in 2010. Dolbadarn visited the FR for the Hunslet 100 Gala 1993, the only time it has visited the Ffestiniog Railway. [1]
