Family Dynasties

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

Since before the railway existed, there has been a small number of family groups that have made a major contribution to the development of the Festiniog in one way or another. These may have started out as a single member of the family joining the company, and then offspring following them, or as local businessmen who have had connections with the railway, which have continued down through successive generations.

This multi-generational involvment even carries on into the preservation era, though it is not thought that the "new" families are related to the "old" ones.

This (non exhaustive) index lists just a few of the older families that have been involved.
