Born in 1875 in Penrhyn. Possibly a farmer near Bangor before joining FR around 1911 as a wagon & signal inspector, a job which he kept until at least 1927.

Married to Catherine with at least 2 children. In 1911 was living at Llys Awen, Minffordd.
