Gwredog Isaf Bridge (otherwise known as the Ugly Bridge or Pont Hyll) was originally a little arch with low parapets over which cattle cross. It had to be rebuilt to modern standards with high parapets on which one cannot sit as the stone facing was put on in a regrettably pseudo-patchwork pattern. Hence the name.
