Hafod y Llyn

From Festipedia, hosted by the FR Heritage Group

There have been 3 stations / halts called Hafod y Llyn on the combined FR / WHR line

In order of existence

(1) On the original Ffestiniog Railway, there was a halt a few hundred metres below Tan y Bwlch which replaced it in 1872. This can be referenced here = Hafod y Llyn (FR). Little remains, except a widening of the formation.

(2) On the original Welsh Highland, there was a halt after Nantmor, which has now been rebuilt, albeit on a small scale, and this is Hafod y Llyn (WHR)

(3) On the T.W.O. maps for the rebuilding, a site, some 900m south of the above (2) station, was identified as a possible halt to be called Hafod y Llyn (TWO). However, this has not been progressed with.
