Henry Williams (1818)
Elder brother of Job Williams, born in 1818 and died in 1865.
It was Henry, to whom the task fell to transport the locomotives from Caernarfon to Porthmadog in 1863. A large cart was constructed specially for the task, and it required ten horses to pull it. Two trips were made, one for each engine.
The events of the "journey" apparently entered into Minffordd village folklore, though it is not known if a "written" copy of the tale exists.Henry was afterwards known as 'Harri'r wagen fawr'.
