Born 1825 in Ffestiniog. Usually spelt Humphrey.

Was living at Railway Terminus, (Blaenau?) Ffestiniog according to the 1861 census.
Started working for FR as a railway Policeman in September 1854 and continued as such until 1863. Possibly later employed as a wagon porter.
