Janet Stringer

Janet Stringer (1948 - 2008) was the wife of guard and PW worker Mike Stringer.

Born and brought up in Essex, she came to the FR as a volunteer in 1978, following her father who was an FRS member and volunteer. Mike and Janet were married in 1979. She was a member of the FR family for nearly thirty years, many of them spent working at Tan y Bwlch Café, where she was popular with staff, volunteers and customers.

Janet and Mike have a daughter, Emma.
