Mineral line

The Mineral Line is the name given to the line which branches off the main Down line at the bottom end points at Minffordd. This line is the only rail acess to Minffordd Yard, and in 1872, as part of the development of the yard and the realignment of the line at Boston Lodge Halt, the weighbridges were moved to this location.

As well as leading into Minffordd Yard, a siding also runs parallel to the main line, terminating close to the road at Lottie's Crossing.
