An early motion picture company set up in the North Wales area
Two of its machines have been identified, adjacent to the station building, in a picture of Tan y Bwlch (pre 1904)

Basically, these machine, "penny in the slot" idea, presented a large number of still pictures, when viewed rapidly, appeared to be moving.
