Penlan is a location on the Ffestiniog Railway just on the Blaenau Ffestiniog side of Dolrhedyn Road Bridge. There was a serious rock fall here in November 1975. It damaged the rear extension of a house which was then bought by the FR Company and demolished so that rock bolting could take place.
