Robert Owen Hughes
Born 1895. Joined FR 12th June 1912 as temporary parcels clerk, Duffws. Left FR 21st November 1914. Served in Royal Welsh Fusiliers 14th Battalion and injured on the Somme (No. 20203). Returned to FR as clerk at Duffws on 30th October 1917. Left FR for treatment on 4th January 1918 and awarded a lifetime pension in July 1918. His son is believed to have been an apprenticed fitter at Boston Lodge in the late 1920s.[1]
