Spiral Cutting is the first cutting on the spiral of the Ffestiniog Railway's Llyn Ystradau Deviation. It is between Cei Bog and Cei a'r Bont.
In deviation days, the Porthmadog end of the cutting was known as Deviation Site 2 and the Blaenau Ffestiniog end was known as Deviation Site 3.
At the top of the hill is the Orientation Table.
