Personal View

• With respect, 'elaborate loop and pointwork' is a bit overstated; when I visited it on my bike in August 1948 I was expecting something like Crewe or at least Llandudno Junction, so it was one of the biggest disappointments of my life. I never went back; even when tracklaying on the Pont Croesor Deviation of the restored line, I looked but never went back to walk on the scene of that anticlimax. -- Peter Jarvis, January 2011
