Power Station Transformers

In 1987 a 400kV transformer was brought in by barge and transferred to the shore just near the Yacht Club. Martin Pritchard has photos on his Flickr page here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/63164772@N05/albums/72157629381905748/with/6100727129/

The same page has some photos of a 275kV transformer passing Maentwrog on the A487 in 1993, but there are no photos of it coming ashore (presuming that it did come by sea, which is likely given its size and the direction of travel).

When did the CEGB crane get dismantled?
