Template:BLP editintro/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:BLP editintro (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This edit intro is shown automatically when editing a page categorized as either Category:Living people or Category:Possibly living people.

This template can also be added manually to editnotices, for instance to articles about events involving living people. If adding the template manually to an article on a disapperance or death, the parameter |BDP=yes (or any other {{yesno}}-supported "yes" value) can be passed for an alternate wording that emphasizes that section.
