The tamper at Cwm Bychan. Built as a metre gauge tamper in 1995, it was delivered to a coal mine in France. It was purchased by Welsh Highland Railway Construction Ltd in 2005 for use in Phase 4 of the reconstruction of the Welsh Highland Railway. It has been in use since 2006, consolidating the track.
