This template is for recording details gleaned from census records. Most lines are optional.
This is the full list - not all lines need to be used

To use:-

Copy (Ctrl-C) the text inside the dotted box at top;
Open the file to which the template is to be applied, and select the edit tab;
Paste (Ctrl-V) the text in place of all the existing text;
Add the information after the = sign as described below, and add other categories as appropriate.

More fields can be added as required

The fields are used as follows:

cn-year - Enter here the year the census information is from in a basic format of 1871

cn-name - This is optional if the name is the same as the file name.

However, if the file name is, say John M. Smith, and the census shows John Michael Smith then use this field to show the expanded name <OPT>

cn-age - Enter the age - any format <OPT>

cn-yob - enter the date of birth. If known, enter location as well <OPT>

cn-loc - Use to enter the address. Any amount of info, all along one line

i.e. Minffordd would suffice, or 186 London Road, Porthmadog

cn-occ - If known, the current occupation can be entered here <OPT>

cn-conn - if ther is a verified connection to the railway, then use this to indicate what, otherwis, leave blank or mark "unverified" <OPT>

cn-comment - this line is for internal comments - they are not displayed no the normal page. They can be used for searching <OPT>

Lines marked <OPT> will not appear if left blank or deleted

For the full name of: William Parkins an entry has been found for this person at Tyddyn Llwyn, where the year of birth is recorded as:1874 Festiniog The occupation given is: Railway Clerk and the FR/WHR connection is unsure (and the comment line does not appear on the normal display)
