Template Talk: Moelwyn Tunnels Old & New

I concur as to the removal of non-FR material. Ought we also to remove the picture of the non-FR tunnel? From its size and shape, it may be an old standard gauge tunnel; it has certainly nothing to do with the FR or allied systems. PNJ Pnjarvis (talk) 17:40, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Picture removed. As you say, both reference and picture have nothing to do with the FR or allied systems. Tony E. (talk) 19:30, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you - that is better. Don't know if it is worth remark about the alleged pieces of German U-boat lining the top end of Garnedd Tunnel, put there some time in the 1920s? When I first went in there in what, 1950?, there were indeed rusty iron or steel plates lining part of the roof at the Blaenau end and some curved steel sections behind them. By 1960 the steel plates were rusted through and I think they were removed not long afterwards. Brick columns substituted. I have been in a German U-boat (1944 I think) and it was exceedingly cramped; I can well believe that the bow and stern sections might be only eight feet in diameter and could indeed fit Garnedd Tunnel. But memory plays tricks after so long.PNJ Pnjarvis (talk) 22:40, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
