Trawsfynydd
A small hamlet / village approximately 9 miles from Porthmadog and 6 miles from Blaenau Ffestiniog. Although such a distance, it has links to the railway.
It had a station on the Bala And Festiniog Railway which became the GWR line from Bala, and a halt called Trawsfynydd Lake Halt about 2.5 miles north. The nuclear power station, now decommissioned, is located near the latter. It is visible from the FR line.
