This in line with a previous agreement to use any material solely within the wiki, under the current regulation, specifically
"the copyright holder has given me premission to use this work in this wiki (no other terms specified)

Keith,
That's precisely right; if a pic has no initials or similar (there are a couple of cases where I've had to adapt a bit, e.g. jh- = Jim Hewett, jnh- = Jonathan Hall), then it's one of mine.

All pics on my website are accredited and I give you permission to use all my images. However, the copyright must be 'Not for gain' as I will sell my pics to anyone who wants to eg. write a book!
Regards, Barrie Hughes
The concept and an example of "The copyright holder has given permission for use of this image on this wiki. It may not be used for any other purpose without explicit permission from the copyright holder." was shown on Image:BWH_20050702_S9_Beddgelert_pit_roada.jpg
With further conversation, Barrie requested ability to have people contact him via his Wikipedia page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Barrie_Hughes, and so agreement is that any pictures used will be in similar format to the above example, with a request for further information on the Wikipedia site
Picture Usage - Chris Jones[edit]
Chris,
I am undertaking a project to retrieve old web pages that were on the Company website, basically photo reports that had been done by Ian Butters. Some already appear on the wiki - see page http://frheritage.org.uk/wiki/Festiniog_Events and specifically the ones mark *&* have been done so far. (I am currently writing the background info for each of those pictures used in them)
I note that you (I presume the same Chris Jones), are credited for the photos in an article Building Back to Blaenau, a copy of which I have found at http://web.archive.org/web/20040302195451/www.festrail.co.uk/BBB.htm
What I like to ask is for your permission to transpose those photos onto the wiki. If you agree, then there is nothing you need do. I will copy the files across and the whole article will appear, with amendment only to the layout - all text and photos (at a larger size than appear on the above page) will appear as they did originally.

His reply short and sweet
No problems Keith - print and be damned!

The FR in the Sixties article John
(snip/preamble similar to Chris Jones above/snip)
What I like to ask is for your permission to transpose those photos onto the wiki. If you agree, then there is nothing you need do. I will copy the files across and the whole article will appear, with amendment only to the layout (due to the intrcacies of the wiki versus plain HTML) - all text and photos (at a larger size than appear on the above page) will appear as they did originally. Where there are links on the page, they will be amended to point to the relevant pages within the wiki, the NRM link would remain as it was. Keith C. Bradbury
to wit his reply was
Hi Keith Yes, these are my photos and I am happy for the FR to continue using them. However, the scans that Ian used were pretty poor and I'd be happy to do new ones if you need them - I'm pretty sure the originals were done with my old Nikon scanner, which didn't like Kodachrome. Cheers John
The size available were adequate, and therefore declined and saved him from additional work. (Keith)
