Welsh Highland Railway Construction Limited
Welsh Highland Railway Construction Limited was registered on the 3 September 2004, Company number 05221614. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Festiniog Railway Company created specifically to build a new 600mm gauge railway between Rhyd Ddu and Porthmadog mainly on the existing formation of the former Welsh Highland Railway.

With the completion of the basic WHR line, WHRCL now only exists as a shell company to deal with the various remaining legal and financial obligations of the company. All further work on the WHR will be carried out in house by the FR Co.
