William Ellis Richards

FR Signalman. Born 1886 in Llanyyeil, Merionethshire. Married Elizabeth Ann Pugh in 3rd quarter of 1908. Had a son Willie Meirvin Richards in 1910. At time of 1911 census was living at Meirion Tre, Blaenau Festiniog.

First recorded as being a signalman in the 1911 census. FR PAY records show him as a signalman at Duffws until 1920 but he is known to still have been at Duffws in 1923. He does not appear on the FR Pay sheets again until 1926 when he is a PW underman. He is last recorded working for FR in May 1927, a FR ganger.
