Ben Fisher (1963-2009) ran the official website chronicling the rebuilding of the Welsh Highland Railway. Sadly, he died in 2009 and didn’t live to see the line’s re-opening; however, his ashes travelled on the first through train from Caernarfon to Porthmadog on October 30th 2010. His ashes were scattered at Nantmor where his memorial plaque can be found (in the waiting shelter).
