Help:Special pages

This wiki includes a number of special pages. These pages are all in the "Special" namespace. This is not a "real" namespace - you cannot create or edit pages in this namespace.

You can get a list of the special pages by clicking on "Special pages" on the left of the page. The list includes:

Active users list - a list of all the users who have edited in the last 91 days
All pages - a list of all the pages in a particular namespace. Page names in italics denote redirect pages
All pages with prefix - a list of all the pages in a particular namespace starting with a particular prefix
Blocked IP addresses and usernames - a list of users and IP addresses that have been blocked from editing Festipedia
Book sources - links to websites which may be able to supply a book with the specified ISBN
Broken redirects - Redirect pages which redirect to a non-existent page. If there are any pages on this list, they need to be fixed
Categories
Category tree - a tree showing the subcategories and, optionally, pages and images in a chosen category. This page uses Javascript and may not work in some browsers
Change password - allows the logged in user to change their password
Cite - shows how to cite a page from Festipedia
Dead-end pages - articles in the main namespace which do not contain any links to other pages in the wiki
Disambiguation pages - a list of pages linked to disambiguation pages rather than the appropriate page. Any article listed should be amended to link direct to the correct page
Dormant articles - pages in the main namespace that haven't been edited for a long time
Double redirects - double redirects do not work so any pages on this list need to be fixed
Expand templates - a useful page for testing that templates expand correctly
Export pages - export pages for import to another MediaWiki wiki
External links - search for links to an external site
File list - details of uploaded images and media files
File path - gives the full path for any uploaded file
MIME search - search for files of a particular MIME type

Logs - a list of entries in the various logs
Long pages
Most linked-to categories - categories with the most members
Most linked-to files - images and other files used most frequently
Most linked-to pages - the number of pages linked to each page. Note that if a page contains several links to another page, only one will be counted
Most linked-to templates - templates used most frequently
My preferences - allows you to customise many features of Festipedia. See the help page for details
My watchlist - keep an eye on pages of particular interest. See the help page for details
New pages - new pages in all namespaces
Orphaned pages - pages that are not linked to from any other page
Pages with the fewest revisions
Pages with the most categories
Pages with the most revisions
Popular pages - the pages viewed most frequently
Protected pages - a list of pages protected against editing or moving
Protected titles - a list of pages that cannot be created
Random article
Random redirect
Recent changes - see the help page for full details
Redirects - list of redirected pages
Related changes - changes to pages linked to or from a given page
Search - search for pages containing particular words or phrases
Search for duplicate files - identify duplicate uploaded images
Short pages
Statistics - gives the number of articles, pages, users and administrators. A page is counted as an article if it is in the main namespace, is not a redirect page and contains at least one internal link
System messages - a list of all user interface messages, showing both the default and current text
Valid change tags - tags used to mark edits. This feature is not currently used on Festipedia
Uncategorized categories - categories not in any other category
Uncategorized files - images and media files that have not been placed in any category
Uncategorized pages - pages that have not been placed in any category
Uncategorized templates - templates that have not been placed in any category
Unused categories - categories that have no members
Unused files - unused images
Unused templates - templates that have not been included in any page
Upload file - upload an image or media file
User contributions - a list of the contributions made by a user. See the help page for details
User group rights - a list of user groups and the rights granted to each group
Users - all registered users
Version - details of the software being used
Wanted categories - categories which have members but no category page has yet been created
Wanted files - images and other files which are used on a page but have not yet been created
Wanted pages - pages which do not exist but which have been linked from other pages
Wanted templates - templates which have been invoked but have not yet been created
