The content states that Morris Jones may have been on the payroll until March 1947. David Potter's The Talyllyn Railway (ISBN094653750X) states, on page 116 as fact, that he was made redundant by the FR in that month. This appears to be a thoroughly researched work, but unfortunately does not name its sources. Should we cite as source and accept as fact that he was employed by the FR up to that date; Arwyn Morgan's obituary to Morris also quotes March 1947. This was written in 1978, whilst David Potter's book was published in 1990. Any views?

Please forgive the lack of memory, but doesnt one of our "own" books mention that when the redundancies were issued in 1946 2 people remained on the books -Evans at Harbour, and a fitter, "A.N. Other" at Blodge (cannot remember who). Could this have been Morris?. If two further sources are quoting 1947, then its reasonable to use one of them as a citeable source. Remember a lot appearing in this wiki is not attributed, but is probably somewhere in Boyd!!! --Keith (talk) 2009-12-7T21:18:54 (UTC)
