Wagons originally acquired for the WHR rebuilding
This page lists Wagons originally acquired for the Welsh Highland Railway rebuilding from 1997. Following the completion of the WHR they can now be seen in use across the entire Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland network, except the water tank 2003 and the brake van 3172 which cannot go up the FR main line due to limited clearances.
Most of these wagons originated on the South African Railways and have kept their SAR numbers where known. They are also included within the main FR wagons list, where are recorded any later modifications and developments.
