Geoff Sumpster was Secretary of the Festiniog Railway Society Limited from 1956 to 1961. He served in the Army throughout the Second World War and then retained a connection through the Territorial Army. A life-long railway enthusiast, he was approached by the Ffestiniog Railway Society's Chairman (Bill Broadbent) and asked if he would undertake the secretaryship and Bill insisted in getting an answer of the spot. [1] In his professional life he was Secretary and Accountant of B.S.E. Ltd.
