Carriage 2046 is a WHR third class saloon carriage.
Background[edit]
Similar to 2043, 2044 and 2045 in layout, but with panoramic windows aligned with each seating bay, no drop windows, and opening toplights as on the FR Superbarns like Carriage 108.
Constructed at Boston Lodge and funded by the WHR Society. By July 2013 the body was panelled and beading being added. By November 2013 it was structurally complete and was moved into the paint shop. On 21 December 2013 it was completed and made available for use from 2 January 2014.
Its first day in service was 22 March 2014.
