Carriage 2047 is a WHR third class saloon carriage.

Background[edit]

Carriage 2047 is similar to the previously built Carriage 2046, with panoramic windows aligned with each seating bay, no drop windows, and opening toplights as on the FR Superbarns like Carriage 119. Unlike previous WHR carriages, 2047 makes use of rubber secondary suspension.

This vehicle was fully funded by Cymdeithas Rheilffordd Eryri. It was very nearly complete in January 2017 when it was photographed outside the works at Boston Lodge.

2047 entered service on the 14th of May 2017 alongside the rebuilt Carriage 2091.
