Hunslet 0-4-0ST Elidir (493 of 1889) worked at Dinorwic Quarries as Red Damsel until transferred to the Llanberis Lake Railway at the end of 1969 when it was renamed.
The name had previously been used on two other Dinorwic engines, Hunslet 652 of 1896 from 1910 to about 1911 when it became Lady Madcap, then on Avonside 2071 of 1933 from 1949. This loco was sold to Canada in 1966.
Elidir visited the WHR(C) for Superpower in 2005 and was scheduled to visit the WHHR for the May Bank Holiday Gala in 2011.
